Beth + Mike | Pleasure House Point Engagement

Each session I try to step out of my comfort zone a little and try something new, whether it’s a new composition, new pose, new angle, etc. For Beth and Mike’s engagement session last week, the goal was to look specifically for those little details that are easily overlooked. I wanted this gallery to set the scene and tell a story. Yes, a collection of beautifully posed couples are nice, but what I appreciate is the surrounding flowers and plants, the frilly details on a hemline, or the intricate way my couples’ hands are woven together. Having the ability to look for these details isn’t always easy but when you’ve got a couple as relaxed as Beth and Mike, you have the artistic freedom to capture all those special details throughout the session.

Beth and I went to elementary school together and haven’t seen each other since. Talk about a blast from the past! She was just as tall as I remembered! Ha! Her fiancé Mike was so sweet and easy-going. The light that evening couldn’t have been dreamier and their outfit choices were absolutely on point! Beth, periwinkle is totally your color!

Beth met Mike through a mutual friend (another elementary school classmate of mine) and are getting married next September. I can’t wait to capture their wedding day and even more of those special details! The love between these two is the real deal, y’all. If you don’t believe me, just start scrolling. 🙂
