This was an engagement session I had been counting down the days for! Trees every shade of orange, yellow and green, I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall evening in Williamsburg with the sweetest couple. I have known Korey since college when she transferred from the University of Georgia to Christopher Newport University. Not only did we attend the same university but we are also sorority sisters! Having a session with couples I already know definitely makes them extra special!
Korey and Graham have been together since high school; however, since Graham attended William and Mary, they were no strangers to a long-distance relationship. With a love as true as theirs, a little distance couldn’t keep them apart and after 7 years of dating, Graham surprised Korey with the most epic proposal. While traveling abroad for work, Korey was on the last leg of her Europe adventure in Amsterdam when Graham appeared on a bridge just as she was on her way to dinner. He gave Korey the ring that belonged to his grandmother who passed away just 4 months after he and Korey started dating. Graham’s grandfather gave the ring to him this past spring just a couple months before he passed away. He knew Graham was ready to take his relationship to the next step and wanted to be sure he received this family heirloom. Graham’s grandparents were also high school sweethearts and had this very same ring passed down to them. It was purchased in the Chicago area in the 1920’s and had been in the family ever since! Just wait till you scroll down and see what a stunning ring it is! Now the surprise didn’t stop there, after the proposal, Graham surprised Korey with a trip to explore Florence, Italy. Does it get any more romantic than that?!
I can already tell there won’t be a dry eye on their wedding day and I am beyond excited and honored to get to capture it all! It is going to be a gorgeous summer wedding in Williamsburg! Now here are a few favorites from this beautiful William and Mary campus engagement session!
