It is truly hard to put into words just how incredible Emily and Garett’s day was. It was the perfect day, 11 years in the making. You see, their love story began in 2007 when they were in 8th grade! Throughout the years, they have established such a strong foundation that has carried them through so many chapters of life. Now not only are they beginning this new chapter of life as husband and wife, but they are just a couple months away from becoming parents! Emily certainly pulled off planning a wedding, while preparing for a baby like a pro!
Needless to say, with so much anticipation leading up to this day and all the excitement surrounding Emily and Garett’s pregnancy, it was hands down the most emotional ceremony I have ever witnessed. Prior to the ceremony, E & G wanted to have a moment without seeing each other where they could read letters to each other. With tears in their eyes, they expressed their deepest love for each other. It was a beautiful thing to witness such a strong and powerful love between them. As E made her way down the aisle, there mustn’t have been a dry eye around. Garett was in awe of his beautiful bride and his reaction couldn’t have been more real. I don’t think E or G took their eyes off of each other once and the sweetest moment was when they were pronounced husband and wife, G got down on one knee to give E’s tummy a kiss…does it get any sweeter than that?!
I loved every detail of this beautiful celebration, especially all the photographs they displayed of their relationship over all these years. They were so young when they met and their love has truly has stood the test of time. I couldn’t be more excited for all the adventures that lie ahead for E and G and their sweet baby girl. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Burkhead, I hope you’re enjoying yourselves this week in Hawaii!
