Mary and Ethan had the most beautiful fall day for their Richmond wedding! I met Mary and Ethan, along with their wedding party at their ceremony location, St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church. I knew we’d be doing the majority of all their portraits here so I was relived and excited when I arrived and saw just how beautiful the surrounding grounds were just outside the church doors! This church holds a very special place for Mary and her family as this is the same church her parents got married in! Mary and Ethan participated in a traditional Greek ceremony and their reception included a live Greek band that had everyone up and on the dance floor! Overall, it was such a joyful celebration of love and family unity!
This day had been a long time in the making. Mary and Ethan are college sweethearts and knew pretty early on in their relationship that they both wanted to spend forever with each other. In Mary’s words, “I was drawn to him immediately and his personality is one of a kind…He always makes me laugh and never ceases to amaze me.” In Ethan’s words, “She remains the most thoughtful and caring person I’ve ever met. She thinks about things and people in a way that I can’t, and, much in that same way, makes me a better man than I could ever be on my own.” As someone who’s had the opportunity to observe their relationship and see the way they interact with each other, it’s so apparent they have such a strong bond and affection for one another. I just loved seeing how giddy and excited they were from the moment I saw them on their wedding day to the very last minute as they walked through their bubble exit! I am so happy they have found a love so deep and can’t wait to see all that’s in store for their future together as husband and wife!
