I have been holding on to these images for far too long and it’s about time I share this gorgeous Keswick Vineyards wedding with you!!! This past fall I had the honor of photographing Dustin and Jennifer’s wedding day. I knew it was going to be an amazing time with this couple because I absolutely loved getting to know them at their engagement session earlier in the year. They are the kind of couple you want to be friends with. They are so much fun to be around and it was obvious by all the guests they had, that they are loved by so many!
I’m sure my couple and their guests were watching the forecast as intently as I was the entire week. Although it was obvious we wouldn’t have sunshine on their wedding day, I don’t think anyone expected the weather to take such a turn for the worse! Despite the freezing temperatures, strong winds and heavy rain, Dustin and Jenn’s wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. The attention to details, the flowers, signage, color palette, it was all so so beautiful!!! The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was all moved under covering but it made the day so intimate. It was so beautiful watching these two promise forever to each other surrounded by family and friends. Even in the rain, Keswick Vineyards made the perfect backdrop for such a stunning affair.
It is challenging deciding what was my favorite part of the day. For starters, the first look was so full of emotion. Dustin was in absolute amazement at seeing his gorgeous bride walking towards him. They laughed, they cried and Dustin read the most heartfelt letter to his bride. Another highlight from the day was their first dance as husband and wife. Under the twinkly lights and candlelit tent, they twirled, dipped, kissed and got lost in each other’s eyes. I couldn’t help but notice the juxtaposition of the hurricane happening just outside the tent that was so full of warmth, energy and laughter!
Due to the conditions, it wasn’t possible to take portraits outside. The entire bridal party humored me by attempting to take portraits under the covered porch but with strong wind gusts, it become increasingly colder and wetter. Despite the weather and last minute changes that had to be made, Dustin and Jenn never once complained. Their smiles never faded and their laughter never silenced. It was such a testament to the love they share for one another and it was an honor to have witnessed. We made arrangements to meet again later that week to have bride and groom portraits taken that they so deserved to have! Clifton Inn was so generous in making accommodations for us and they now have beautiful portraits to include in their wedding album.
So without further ado, I am beyond excited to share some wedding day highlights and memorable moments with you! Enjoy!
