Along with so many other reasons, one of the best parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to keep the wedding alive even after the celebration is over. For the past couple days as I’ve been culling and editing photos from Korey and Graham’s BEAUTIFUL Colonial Williamsburg wedding, I’ve been reliving their special day through their images. In between all the formal and “staged” images, are so many joyful candids of my sweet bride and groom. What I noticed the most throughout the day was the pure joy and happiness that radiated from Korey and Graham. I found myself getting lost in the moment as I watched Korey walk down the aisle to the man she’s known since 7th grade. I loved the way she locked eyes with her groom as she made her way down the aisle and how her smile grew wider with every step she took. As I turned, I watched Graham in awe of his gorgeous bride as she approached him. With just a sweet yet subtle smile across his face, everyone in that chapel could feel the love he has for Korey. It was said throughout the day from family and guests and again in each toast that was given, how Korey and Graham are as kind as they come and how perfect they are for one another.
Korey and Graham’s relationship alone would have been enough to make this day so beautiful but to top it off, they had the most gorgeous and sunny June afternoon in Colonial Williamsburg. Close family and friends witnessed these two become husband and wife in the Wren Chapel, located on the William and Mary campus. Guests then arrived at the Fountain Garden for a sunset cocktail hour before being escorted to the Oval Garden for their open-air reception. With strings of bistro lights hanging over the dance floor, family and friends danced the night away under a starry night sky, complete with the perfect crescent moon, which was so fitting for this bride and her fellow Gamma Phi Beta sisters. I am lucky to know Korey from college and to also share the bond of sisterhood in Gamma Phi Beta. I truly was beyond honored to have been a part of such a special occasion and to witness a kind of love that is so beautiful. Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Gardner. May you never forget this day and this love that you share!
